EpiLife is Gothenburg’s center for epidemiologic studies on mental health and physical health interacting over the life course. The research is based on the population studies that have been conducted in Gothenburg since the 1960s. The purpose of EpiLife is to support ongoing and future research and to create better research environments for graduate students and junior researchers. The activities are organized in four work areas: Psychosocial factors and susceptibility to cardiovascular disease, Mental disorders over the life course, Overweight and obesity over the life course and Cognitive functioning – from normal to dementia.
